HSE WebCommunities: Construction Discussion Forum

The Conditions of Use for this Forum

  • This Construction Forum aims to promote discussion about workplace health and safety issues in the construction industry. The idea is that forum members can share good practice, not use the forum as a direct 'question and answer' channel with HSE.
  • HSE Web Communities, including the Construction Forum, are a place for constructive, helpful, intelligent, and polite conversations.  People can and will disagree, but it's important that members show respect for each other; be tolerant; and give people the benefit of the doubt. If you are unable to keep to these guidelines, this might not be the place for you.
  • HSE reserves the right to remove offending material and ban members at any time and without prior notice for libel, defamation, actual threats, copyright abuse, or the posting of someone's personal information (e.g. an address or telephone number) without their permission. We will also remove messages simply advertising products, services and web sites or discussions which are clearly ‘off-topic'.  We'll explain our actions to the individual concerned - and, where appropriate, let other members know.
  • If you see anything in the Forum, which you believe contravenes HSE Web Communities terms of use, you can let the Group Manager know by using the 'Report off-topic messages' link at the bottom of this page.
  • We will not edit or censor a discussion because we don't happen to agree with it.

The Construction Discussion Forum

The Construction Discussion Forum provides an opportunity for everyone involved with the construction industry to say what they're doing to improve health and safety in the industry, share best practice and enlist the help of other forum members in finding solutions for their problems.

The forum is open to everyone involved with the industry, including designers, contractors, clients, suppliers and site workers. It has been designed to be a useful self-help forum where everybody can contribute from their own practical experience to help and advise others. It provides access to a wide range of expertise to help you tackle health and safety issues. Much of this will be provided from those currently working in the industry. (Whilst we expect most of this information to be of direct value, HSE are not responsible for any specific advice given through this site)
