Survey of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) service pipework at commercial and industrial premises

This survey is being carried out by UKLPG and HSE.

By 'service pipework' we mean the pipework carrying vapour phase LPG from the bulk tank as far as the premises where it is used (usually the emergency cut-off valve on the outside of a building).

It does not include pipework:

  • within buildings; or
  • carrying liquid phase LPG, such as is used for Autogas or fork lift truck filling or for aerosol filling.

Note 1: The pipework and regulator types and formats shown are for guidance only. They show the general 'style' of installations.

Note 2: Installations may have more than one bulk tank.

Note 3: This survey is not for domestic premises or metered estates.
