  • Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 - Guidance for Notifications, Registrations and Consents
NEW IONISING RADIATION REGULATIONS The Ionising Radiations Regulations (IRR) have now been revised and a new set of Regulations (IRR17) will come into force on 1 January 2018. One of the changes introduced by these revised Regulations is the introduction of a risk-based approach to telling HSE of your work with ionising radiation (the graded approach). To help employers understand how the graded approach applies to their practice(s) we have prepared the following document : Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 - Guidance for Notifications, Registrations and Consents advising employers on how to comply with the 'graded approach' that is effectively regulations 5, 6 and 7 of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017. The online system will be accessible from 3rd January 2018 via the HSE website. For more information on the risk-based tiers, and the associated fees involved, please visit the HSE ionising radiation webpages.

  • Question Set - Notifications Registrations Consents
NEW IONISING RADIATION REGULATIONS The Ionising Radiations Regulations (IRR) are being revised, and a new set of Regulations (IRR17) will come into force on 1 January 2018. One of the changes introduced by these revised Regulations is the introduction of a risk-based approach to telling HSE of your work with ionising radiation. The pdf document 'Question Set - Notifications Registrations Consents', is a 'near-final' draft of the questions that HSE will be asking those who apply via the graded approach online system. We are publishing them ahead of the online system going live to give those who expect to have to apply via the online system an opportunity to understand what questions HSE will be asking of them. For more information on the new risk-based tiers, and the associated fees involved, please visit the HSE ionising radiation webpages visit the HSE webpage on the new changes.
